Hospital Manager:

The Hospital Manager is a leader and an integral member of the hospital management team. The Hospital Manager partners with the Managers and Veterinarian to provide a smooth and profitable operation by driving revenue and managing costs while creating a hospital culture based on high quality patient care and exceptional customer service.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates the hospital schedule and manages labor costs to budget.
  • Participates in the weekly, monthly and annual planning and budget maintenance process.
  • Establishes goals for the practice and staff.
  • Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices.
  • Oversees employee benefits program and hospital insurance plans.
  • Educates employees on hospital financial policies and procedures, medical protocols, and client compliance program responsibilities.
  • Manages vendor relationships.
  • Monitors computer systems and works with HelpDesk to resolve technical systems/equipment issues.
  • Recruits new employees and participates in the selection process.
  • Implements performance-based incentive and rewards and recognition programs.
  • Tracks and maintains current licensure for all DVMs.
  • Utilizes client service initiative measurements to evaluate hospital and staff performance.
  • Ensuring payroll is accurately completed and submitted for all hospital staff.
  • Manages accounts receivable.
  • Manages accounts payable.
  • Reconciles daily cash and monitors the petty cash.
  • Continually drives revenue and manages costs to budget.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in a Manager role.
  • 2-4 years customer service experience.
  • Experience in a hospital setting in positions of increased responsibility a plus.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Multi-functional operations including budget and labor management.
  • HR policies and protocol development.
  • Staff management including: coaching, development, performance appraisals, and resolution management.
  • General management skills including reporting and data analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, and practice management software knowledge preferred).
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and remain flexible with assigned duties.
  • Must be able to work well in team environment.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.

 

 

 
Carpenters & Welders:

Fabricates, constructs, and repairs structural woodwork, wood products and metals by following blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions; using carpentry/welding tools and equipment.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Produces carpentry/welding products and services by following standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.

  • Determines material requirements and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated by studying blueprints, sketches, or building plans.

  • Prepares layout by following carpentry/welding procedures for fabrication of counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, and building framework and trim, using rule, and framing square.

  • Constructs, repairs, and installs structure or fixture by marking cutting and assembly lines on materials; shaping materials to measurements; assembling and fastening cut and shaped materials; using carpenter's/welder's hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

  • Ensures construction quality by verifying trueness of structure with carpenter/welder's level, and other measurements.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local building codes by adhering to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Conserves carpentry resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Ensures operation of carpentry/welding equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

  • Provides carpentry/welding information by answering questions and requests.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Air Conditioning Technician:

 

Provides skilled repair and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems. Performs general and specialized maintenance and repair of HVAC units and their mechanical and electrical systems.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Installation of HVAC units, to include electronic and mechanical components.

  • Installation of HVAC ductwork, including flex tubing and sheet metal construction.

  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units including electronic and mechanical components.

  • Conserve, install and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants.

  • Install or repair electrical connections to HVAC components.

  • Daily repairs and checks of HVAC systems

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
General Maintenance:
 

Performs a variety of custodial and maintenance duties including but not limited to:

  • Trash disposal

  • Replacing light bulbs

  • Furniture moves,

  • Painting

  • Cleaning of exterior building/property.

  • May handle mail transport to/from office.

  • May travel to stores (hardware, office supply) for various items.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • General ability to understand commercial building operations.  Strong communication skills.Able to take direction and complete duties with limited supervision.  Ability to coordinate/work with various vendors.

  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Requires ability to work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.

  • Physical demands including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying/moving heavy items (up to 100 pounds), shoveling, digging, painting, etc.  Able to use various hand/power tools.

  • Work schedule is flexible Monday – Friday.  Total hours needed is approximately 10-15 hours weekly, during normal business hours.

 
 
 
 
Graphic Artist:

 

Position requires an experienced and talented graphic designer with an inherent desire to go above and beyond the given task. Candidate is able to take on multiple projects, while still maintaining a high level of quality and meeting tight deadlines and fast turnarounds.  The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and work well independently with minimum directions. He/she must be able to accept creative criticism in a professional manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and refresh the corporate brand graphics/logos

  • Working on various design projects from start to finish, which includes revisions and print-ready production

  • Communicating with the creative team to develop concepts and ideas for new projects that adhere to and address creative and strategic goals

  • Incorporating logos and other corporate identity design elements into design projects in ways that preserve the corporate identity

  • Designing materials, including but not limited to, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, direct mail, fliers, forms, logos, posters, and Web graphics

  • Developing and maintaining organized files for images and documents

 

Position Requirements:

  • BA/BFA in graphic design preferred, but professional experience may be considered

  • Energetic self starter with a highly collaborative style and drive to problem solve

  • Exceptional page layout, printing, and design skills

  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a MAC environment

  • Expert in InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Acrobat

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledgeable in print production and some digital applications

  • Committed to working extra hours (or odd hours if telecommuting) as required to meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills with a willingness to share ideas and contribute as part of a team/company effort

  • Effective time management skills. Must be able to meet deadlines, complete projects properly and stay within budget.

  • Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas; find innovative ways to meet constraints of cost, time and marketing needs.
